The colourful and easy-to-eat green fruit is quite popular not only for its capacity to become a great healthy diet but also because it acts as a vibrant partner to any dish. The cosmetic use of this fruit has also started to hit the trend with avocado oils and avocado infused face products being on demand in the market.
Dr Malla, who is also Laser and Cosmetic Specialist, gave out an unbiased review on avocados and its other products, which can clear things out for those who are still confused to whether pick that avocado enriched product from cosmetic store shelf as well as to every individual in general.
Dr Malla also connects the relation of healthy skin and healthy body with avocado consumption in various forms. The skin is the largest organ of a human body and the first line of defense as it protects us from external microbes, environmental pollution, regulates body temperature and provide sensation of touch. Healthy skin can work as the protective layer between outer surrounding and our body. Similarly, a healthy body leads to healthy skin and healthy food leads to healthy body.
Dr Malla explained that healthy diet and good skin care are important factors, but one should not ignore other relating agents such as hormones, stress, and sleep levels that also play a role in skincare. She further explained how mobile phones and gadgets damage our skin. Yes, you read that right. Mobile phone does more damage than just hurting our eyes.
As per World Health Organization, the electromagnetic fields produced by mobile phones are classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as possibly carcinogenic to humans.
Hence, Dr Malla advises everyone to minimize screen time and get good sleep for skin health. She also suggests drinking at least 3.5 liters of water per day. And most important of all, Dr Malla strictly advises avoiding the use of ‘home remedies’ in case of any skin-related problems and recommends an immediate visit to the dermatologist. “The more time you take to consult a dermatologist the more time it takes for the doctor to help you heal,” says Dr Malla.
